For our client in the railway sector, we are looking for a EHS Site Manager.
EHS Site Manager will ensure and provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors during construction sites and projects.

YOUR MISSION

Support Project Management in achieving EHS results

  • EHS Management: Lead the internal EHS protection and prevention service, coordinating with unions and site management.
  • Risk Assessment & Emergency Plans: Conduct EHS risk assessments, implement control measures, and maintain emergency plans.
  • Activity Supervision: Ensure field, depot, and subcontractor activities comply with EHS standards, especially in customer and contractor interfaces.
  • Authority to Halt Activities: Hold authority to stop any operations that present immediate high risks to people or the environment.
  • Team & Partner Collaboration: Manage, train, and assess EHS teams, and coordinate with social and medical partners.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Monitor regulatory and company compliance, maintain records, prepare EHS reports, and support EHS communication and training plans.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Engineering, business or environmental degree
  • Health and safety qualification
  • 5 to 8 years experience year in environment, health and safety
  • Experience in industry and projects strongly recommended
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards
  • Deep knowledge of local legal EHS requirements
  • Experience in railway is a plus
  • Teamwork and leadership
  • Sufficiently mobile to work on different depots in Belgium (Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels)
  • Fluency in French and English (mandatory)
  • Spirit of initiative and action
  • Good communication skills
  • Analytical and rigorous
  • Good computer skills
  • Continuous improvement tools
