Our partner in Bruges region is part of an international Corporation and employs over 200 engineers and they are currently looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to join their team and strengthen their workforce.

Your role?

As an Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a Hi-Tech environment!
Your job responsibilities will consist of a range of diverse activities:

  • Create validation plans and execute internal and third-party hardware testing
  • Develop and maintain test equipment to support validation and later manufacturing
  • Provide support to internal teams and EMS provider
  • Write and review test reports to document validation results
  • Support testing with an extensive set of SW toolings, some of which are maintained by you
  • Occasional travel to support our manufacturing provider

Who are you?

To successfully carry out the above tasks and responsibilities, as an Electronics Hardware Engineer, you have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or equivalent experience with C-programming or similar programming languages. Experience in an automotive context with electronics design/testing is preferred, as well as knowledge of OEM automotive validation requirements/procedures and experience with sensor/wiring applications. EMC analysis & testing experience and mechatronics experience are assets.

You have a fluent command of English, both verbal and written, and possess excellent communication skills. Additionally, you have a structured way of working with an eye for detail, strong problem-analysis & problem-solving skills, and a practical, hands-on attitude. You have experience managing external suppliers, and you are open to (inter)continental travel.

YOUR ROLE

  • You are the key figure between development and production. Together with your colleagues, you are the driving force for the further development and realization of assembly and test processes for the production of mechatronic transmissions and subsystems.
  • You are processowner and therefore responsible for the entire process from A to Z (specification, construction, budget, security, planning, maintenance, data handling and validation).
  • You closely monitor your project and start by setting up a process flow, create a PFMEA, control and validation plan as well as the technical dossier. Once your (semi-) automated production line "turns", you ensure that it functions as optimally as possible and you therefore look for continuous improvements. In time, you will also be the point of contact for the production department in solving technical issues.
  • Your strong product-process knowledge is your main asset

Your profile

  • You are an electro/mechanical engineer with a broad technical interest, relevant experience is seen as an advantage
  • Affinity with software / electricity is an added value.
  • You are practical, hands-on and have experience with project-based work.
  • You like analysis and problem solving in a technical and dynamic environment.
  • You can work independently and structured.
  • You are good in keeping the overview and pay a lot of attention to details
  • You are communicative and can express yourself fluently in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a strong plus.
  • You have the necessary experience in MS Office.
