Our partner is looking for a Development Engineer for Electric Drive Systems to strengthen their development team. This leading manufacturing company, located in the Bruges region, operates worldwide within the automotive sector and is renowned for its transmission systems.
Your responsibilities?
As a Development Engineer for Electric Drives, you will be part of a high-tech environment and work with the team to ensure that product concepts are analyzed, simulated, and optimized as a complete system rather than a set of components. Your tasks will include various activities:
- Benchmarking and staying up-to-date with innovations in the market
- Defining objectives and requirements for advanced product development
- Collaborating with suppliers to find optimal solutions
- Conducting simulations and analyses to understand, dimension, and optimize technical concepts
- Supporting the development phases through risk assessment, validation, problem-solving, etc.
- Collaborating with internal departments (design, analysis, procurement, etc.) to design and procure proof-of-concept prototypes
Who are you?
To successfully carry out the above tasks and responsibilities as a Development Engineer for Electric Drives, you possess a master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, complemented with a good knowledge of electronics and controls. Experience with electric motors is a plus. You are proficient in English communication. Additionally, you have a proactive attitude, a thirst for learning, and strong analytical skills. Lastly, you are a communicative individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
